I already expressed, a while ago, my surprise (and a point of skepticism) about finding advertisements for London Heathrow airport in the London underground...and here is another example. Just that this time, a lot bigger! (I know, the ad is a bit dated since it was from before last Christmas)
But what purpose do these ads really serve? has anyone measured what is the ROI on these ads? as a frequent traveler it is usually the airline that I check first when I need to travel somewhere, only when the choice is between two very similar airlines or fares that I factor in the airport...and I doubt an ad in the underground would have much influence in this latter decision...besides that: wasn't LHR's problem that it was, actually, too crowded?

A personal note
Some of the regular readers of this blog might have noticed that I have been recently posting a bit less regularly than usual. The fact is that it has been really hectic in the last few weeks and the big news is that as of this week, I am working as a content editor at Flightglobal.com
I will continue writing this blog, but, as you might imagine, most of my aviation-related activity is now going to be devoted to this new professional project, so, I apologize in advance if my posts become less frequent and less business-related, in any case, I think it is going to be a great chance for me to explore the World of aviation from a more personal angle. Watch this space, I will keep you posted!
